HELPERS’ BBQ

The annual Helpers’ BBQ was held at Bradbourne on Saturday 24th July. It was an ideal
opportunity for volunteers and some of the adult riders to get together in a relaxed
social environment and we were blessed with a perfect summer evening.
Delicious food (expertly cooked, of course!) and excellent company combined to make a hugely enjoyable occasion. The timing was perfect too; Peter Felgate was celebrating his birthday that weekend and we were all able to have a slice of his birthday cake!
The evening was tinged with sadness, though, because it was also a farewell party for Annie (right), one of Bradbourne’s longest serving helpers and instructors. We wish Annie a long and happy retirement and hope she will come back to visit us often.
We are very grateful to everyone who worked so hard to make the evening such a success and our special thanks go to Liz (left), Pauline and Geoff the chef.
